Dr. Kamalesh Kumar Patel completed his Ph.D. (2019), M.Phil. (2013), MPS (2012) from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai and he has also done M.Sc. in Health Statistics (2011) from Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh. He has qualified UGC-NET in Population Studies in 2014. After Ph.D., he joined as Senior Research Officer at Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur. After that, he joined as Chief Research Fellow at Center for Cancer Epidemiology (CCE), Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai.

Teachings

Dr. Kamalesh’s teaching activities focus on Demographic measures, Population projection & estimation and Descriptive statistics.

Research

He extensively worked on large-scale micro-data sets like National Family Health Survey (NFHS), District Level Health Survey (DLHS), Census etc. using various statistical packages like STATA and SPSS. He has also experience of advance statistical analysis through SPSS and STATA software’s.

His broad research area of interest is demographic estimation, public health, child nutrition and population projection & estimation. He has published more than 30 scientific papers in various national and international journals with i10-index=13 and h-index=12. He is also serving as reviewers for BMC Public Health.He is a life member of the Indian Society for Medical Statistics (ISMS), International Institute for Population Sciences Alumni Association (IIPSAA) and Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP).

Dr. Pradeep Kumar completed his Ph.D in 2016 from Clinical Epidemiology Unit and Department of Neurology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

Teachings

Dr. Pradeep’s teaching activities focus on principles of epidemiologic study design, systematic review, meta-analysis and causal inference.

Research

His broad research area of interest includes clinical epidemiology, biomarker discovery, neuroimaging and neurogenetics. He has published more than 50 scientific papers in various national and international journals with i10=35 and H index=20. He has authored five books for the national universities and is the active member of Cochrane Library and world stroke organization. He is also serving as reviewers for more than 150 international journals and is an editor of Frontiers in Neurology, Translational Neurosciences, Neurodegeneration, stroke, Neurological biomarkers and Human Gene.

Dr. Sanjukta Sarkar- Scientist-II (Health Economics)

Dr. Sanjukta Sarkar completed her Ph.D in 2016 from the Indira Gandhi National Open University in conjunction with the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi. She followed up her Ph.D with an ICSSR post-doctoral fellowship at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.

Teachings

Her teaching activities focus on application of econometric methods to health and financial data.

Research

She has worked extensively on various aspects of the banking sector as well as several dimensions of women’s health and empowerment in India through econometric and statistical analysis on STATA software. She has presented her research work in both national and international platforms as well as published in international and national journals. She also serves as a reviewer for journals, including Journal of Financial Economic Policy, IIM Bangalore’s Management Review and IIM Kozhikode’s Society and Management Review as well as conferences, including the 8th Pan IIM World Management Conference, December 2021, IIM Kozhikode and the 6th Pan IIM World Management Conference, December 2018, IIM Bangalore.

Dr. Deepak Dhamnetiya- Scientist-II (Epidemiology)

Dr Deepak Dhamnetiya is a Scientist and Public Health Specialist. He did MBBS (NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, India) and MD in Community Medicine (Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India). After MD, Dr. Dhamnetiya has done Senior Residency at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India.

Before joining AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Dhamnetiya was a Faculty of Community Medicine, at Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, Rohini, New Delhi. In Dr BSA Medical College, he was academic coordinator for the Dept. of Community Medicine. He was member of District Task Force for COVID 19 and District Adverse Effect Following Immunization (AEFI) Committee as Epidemiologist for North West District of Delhi.

He is a life member of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM), Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) and Epidemiology Foundation of India (EPI).

His areas of research interest are epidemiology, communicable & non-communicable disease and research methodology.

Dr. Dhamnetiya is Academic Editor in Plos One Journal, Associate Editor in Frontiers Oncology & Section Editor in Journal of Health, Population and Nutrition. He has had over 30 publications in his credit.

Dr. Ashish Datt Upadhyay- Scientist-II (Biostatistics)

Dr. Ashish Datt Upadhyay before joing as Scientist-II (Biostatistics) was working in the Department of Biostatistics, AIIMS, New Delhi since December 2006. He did Post-graduation (Statistics) from BHU, Varanasi. He qualified ASRB NET (Statistics and Computer Application) in 2010 and obtained his Ph.D. (Biostatistics) in 2019 as in service candidate from AIIMS, New Delhi.

Teachings

His teaching activities mainly focus on application of statistics in clinical and translational research. He also provides hands on training for Stata statistical software to students and researchers.

Research

He is experienced Statistical Scientist and well versed in epidemiological study design and statistical techniques like methods for randomized controlled trials and validation of tools, Meta-analysis, Survival analysis, Multilevel modeling, Development and validation of prognostic/ predictive model dealing with small and large data(like NFHS-3 data) etc. His research interest includes Survey techniques like Randomized Response Technique (RRT) and others for sensitive issues (like substance use, suicide, depression etc.) and its practical utility in field survey, Application of statistical methodology and statistical modeling in medicine, public health and social sciences. He is the author/co-author of more than 100 research papers which has been published in journal of reputes.
