Dr. Kamalesh Kumar Patel completed his Ph.D. (2019), M.Phil. (2013), MPS (2012) from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai and he has also done M.Sc. in Health Statistics (2011) from Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh. He has qualified UGC-NET in Population Studies in 2014. After Ph.D., he joined as Senior Research Officer at Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur. After that, he joined as Chief Research Fellow at Center for Cancer Epidemiology (CCE), Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai.
Teachings
Dr. Kamalesh’s teaching activities focus on Demographic measures, Population projection & estimation and Descriptive statistics.
Research
He extensively worked on large-scale micro-data sets like National Family Health Survey (NFHS), District Level Health Survey (DLHS), Census, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), and India Human Development Survey (IHDS) etc. using various statistical packages like STATA and SPSS. He has also experience of advance statistical analysis through SPSS and STATA software’s.
His broad research area of interest is infant & child mortality, nutrition, marriage, marital happiness and population projection & estimation. He has published more than 30 scientific papers in various national and international journals with i10-index=08 and h-index=08. He is also serving as reviewers for

He is a life member of the Indian Society for Medical Statistics (ISMS), International Institute for Population Sciences Alumni Association (IIPSAA) and Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP).
